Tree House (2)

The Tree House

We are always looking for something old and vintage, something with charm and character.  Beth’s uncle knew the owner of this home that used it for what looked like a cabin, or just a little get-away.  The problem was there was a tree lying across the top of the cabin.  We did a little calling around and were able to get the home for free! We scored because what we found inside were some amazing little treasures that most people would just throw away. For instance, check out the front room window that was covered up by a sheet of plywood. And we found a pocket door that was hidden in the wall between the entry way and the bathroom, complete with a working track system!  The main thing we want people to realize is that they really should do a little detective work before tearing things down. This house was slated to be burned by the city just to remove the hazard and the eyesore. And look at some what we found inside of it! Subsequent posts will have more of the times that we have found, as well as the progress we make.

Please share this with friends and join us in our adventure as I take down the home and spruce up the treasures that I find inside.
